Food Pantry News
First Trinity is partnering with Community Family Life Services to stock their food pantry and ready the bags for distribution. CFLS has 15-20 walk-in clients a week in homes in this neighborhood who need help stretching their resources. Volunteers donate food, pick up food from the food bank, and pack canned and fresh items for weekly distribution. Local business, office and apartment/condo complexes are invited hold food drives in their buildings. First Trinity will provide a food bin and a list of items needed as well as transportation of the food. Contact us at 202-737-4859 or ftrinity@aol.com for more information.

Info for First Trinity members and neighbors:We need 1-2 volunteers weekly to put together the bags of groceries following a set “grocery list” for the bags.
If you would like to bring food for the pantry here’s a list : canned vegetables, tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, baked beans, fruit, meat (tuna, Spam, chicken), dried pasta, rice,
eanut butter, jelly, boxed cereals. Please place the items in the bin in the back
of the church. If you’d like to contribute money toward our purchases at the Capital Area
Food Bank, please make it out to First Trinity and mark it for the food pantry on
the “Memo” space on the check..
