Who
we are: Young Adults' Group
Who is a “young adult”? We define this loosely – participants might be in their 20’s, 30’s, or early 40’s. Some of us have children and some of us don’t. Singles, marrieds, and those in committed relationships are all welcome. You'll find young adults on the church council, welcoming visitors, singing and playing music, serving on committees and actively contributing to the church and community. Some enjoy running.
First Trinity’s Young Adults are members and friends who gather for fun, fellowship, learning, and service. Activities have included bowling, barbecues, informal parties, and volunteering. Starting Sept 18, 2008 Young Adults will meet after Soup and Vespers on Thursday nights (approx 7:15pm) on the first and third Thursday.
Young adults are active participants in First Trinity outreach activities including the Food Pantry, serving dinner to homeless women monthly on the 4th Sunday, volunteering with Lifeline Partnership. There are lots of opportunities to contribute!
The Young Adults were an important part of a service trip to West Virginia in October 2007, rebuilding flood-damaged homes. In 2008 many of First Trinity’s Young Adults took part in a Habitat for Humanity service trip to El Salvador. We plan to gather for learning and faith-building opportunities as well. El Salvador trip blog. We want to continue our service trips and hope to have 2 yearly.
