Welcome

Serving the people of Washington, DC, since 1851, First Trinity is a diverse community in mission, an intentionally inclusive congregation, welcoming all to our worship and ministries. We are an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a Reconciling in Christ congregation. Our primary purpose is to proclaim the Gospel in words and deed and "bear much fruit" (John 15:8). We therefore commit ourselves to make a personal and corporate witness to our God-given faith, and to grow by reaching out to every person, encouraging and supporting one another in our faith journey. On October 26, 2008 we began joint worship with St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church. We celebrate one year joint worship with Pastor Huber and St. Matthew's!!
