Rev. Thomas J. Knoll, Pastor

Rev. Knoll is a graduate of Concordia College, Milwaukee, and Concordia Senior College, Ft. Wayne IN. He received a BA in Psychology/Sociology and Theology in 1977. In 1981 he received a Masters in Divinity from Christ Seminary-Seminex in St. Louis, MO, with a special emphasis on Urban Ministry. In 1982. He received a Masters in Social Work with a special emphasis on Community Development from St. Louis University. Reverend Knoll is a licensed and board certified social worker and was the Executive Director of Community Life Services from 1982-2002, a social service ministry started by First Trinity. Tom has also served parishes in North St. Louis, and Bogota, New Jersey. Currently Reverend Knoll is the President of Capital Area Asset Building Corp., Treasurer of the United Lutheran Appeal, Vice President of the Lutheran Planned Giving Consortium, President of Trinity Landholding Corporation and President of CFLS Restaurant Inc. Rev. Knoll has served on the Mayor's Task Force on Homelessness and is a frequent speaker on poverty and homelessness issues.

Pastor Knoll is married to Fran Knoll, a Certified Nurse-Midwife. They have two grown children: Sarah and Daniel.

Wendy A. Moen, Pastor

Rev. Moen graduated from the University of Iowa in 1992 with a Bachelors of Social Work and a B.A. of Psychology. In 1999 after 7 years of social work with various populations and in various settings, including a year of accompaniment with the people of Nicaragua, she began seminary studies at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and graduated with a Master's of Divinity in 2003. Her concentration areas at the seminary were in Urban Ministry and Latino Studies. Her seminary training included serving as intern pastor at Luther Place Memorial Church, Washington, DC 2001-2002 and a Clinical Pastoral Education Program at the Washington Hospital Center in the summer of 2000.

Pastor Moen is the proud mother of one energetic son, Jonathan.
