Worship & Sermons
Sunday Morning
Worship is the core of our congregational life. Sunday morning worship at First Trinity is grounded in proclamation of God's Word and celebration of the Eucharist. Join us at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday and stay for fellowship after.
Music: We are a congregation that sings. Various instruments accompany our singing including organ, piano, guitar, flute and keyboard. We use traditional and new hymns.
A vocal choir provides music from spirituals to classical and contemporary. Special bell and men's choirs also rehearse and lead our offerings to God.
Liturgy: Striving for variety of musical styles, tones, and instrumentation, we learn new liturgies from time to time and rotate seasonally between liturgical settings, which include Marty Haugen's "Now the Feast and Celebration" and settings one and ten out of the new ELCA hymnal, Evangelical Lutheran Worship.
Holy Communion: All baptized Christians are welcome to receive the Eucharist that we celebrate weekly.
Fellowship: Immediately following the worship service we invite you to stay for coffee and refreshments in the parlor adjacent the sanctuary.
Our goal is to create a worship experience so that one may feel a sense of awe and wonder at God's marvelous work in our lives. We pray that all leave feeling refreshed and nourished for the coming week. In worship we come together as the Body of Christ, in all our diversity, to proclaim the Gospel, share the sacraments, and celebrate our life together, to the praise and glory of God.
